Cranial Sacral Osteopathy is a very gentle treatment suitable also for all including children and babies which can help soothe and relax your baby.
It may help relieve the stresses and strains of pregnancy and giving birth to both you and your baby.
This treatment is suitable for children at all stages of development.
During delivery the baby’s head has a 
remarkable ability to absorb forces through the turns and twists of the bony pelvis, in effect moulding the baby’s head. This moulding results in misshapen heads and can change within the first few days as the baby suckles and cries. However, the un-moulding process is often incomplete especially if the birth has been difficult and as a result the baby may have to live with uncomfortable stresses in the body.
Cranial Osteopathy is a non-invasive technique, where gentle pressure is applied where necessary to aid the health of the body.
Ways in which babies can become distressed:
With the first born the cervix has not opened before therefore this usually meaning stronger contractions and greater need for analgesic drugs.
Birth by Assisted Delivery – Ventouse/ Forceps, can affect natural moulding of the baby’s head.
Premature/Overdue – Foetal Distress Cord Around the Neck
Caesarean Birth
