Whether you wish to conceive naturally or work alongside assisted conception techniques, we can tailor a Pre-Conception Protocol for you.
YOU are the most important thing to the body
and unless your health is in balance, your body will not consider creating or sustaining another life – this is equally relevant to both sexes.
Unlike many specialist Clinics who use questionnaires to determine nutritional, hormonal and toxicity levels, our ‘Health Detective’ Screening system removes the guesswork from the Consultation.
We use the Screening system to assess your unique nutritional requirements, as imbalances here can act as a ‘stressor’ to the body. We look for energetic changes in the hormonal system, as imbalances in the adrenal or thyroid gland may be affecting the ability to conceive, yet still show as ‘normal’ on blood tests. We analyse the diet to ensure there are no food intolerances and to check that daily food choices are creating the best internal environment.
We can then guide you to conception through natural means.
We Specialise in both Nutrition and Herbalism
Women: We tailor remedies to support the female system. Herbal remedies can support the menstrual cycle (1) and a meta-analysis of Chinese herbs suggested a higher probability of achieving pregnancy (2). Studies have shown the importance of cervical mucous production (3) which is needed for fertilization (4)
Men: We use the Health Screening System to make dietary adjustments to support the body. Dietary pattern can influence spermatogenesis by its content of fatty acids and antioxidants (5) Remember at the moment of conception, however that may be achieved, a baby is 50/50 two people – so both mum and dad need to be at optimum health.
Acupuncture treatments, if you choose this route, are often used during egg transfer. An Acupuncture session focuses on optimising the underlying energetic systems in preparation for pregnancy.
We can recommend specialist Acupuncture Practitioners with whom we’ve worked for many years and have been delighted with their input into the fertility process. We also work closely with Dr Martin Kinsella with the use of Bio-Identical hormones should they be required.
A Conception Screening can be for one person or both partners, please call us on 01625 54 9000 for details.
