Hormones are an important part of the body’s control mechanism and have powerful effects on its operation. If hormones are out of balance, particularly for long periods, it can be extremely detrimental to physical and mental health.
The ‘Health Detective’ Screening system will pick up imbalances within the hormones and endocrine glands (thyroid, pituitary, adrenals, ovaries etc.,). Once this is determined appropriate remedial action can then be taken.
As with all Screenings, the system does not measure direct levels, it determines energetic imbalances. Over 25 hormones are included in the test – we always test Vitamins and Minerals alongside the Hormones as imbalances in these can mimic hormonal imbalances.
The body needs a correct balance of nutrients in order to create hormones, for example, essential fats are the precursors to hormones and can assist in making the right sort of cholesterol.
Many of our clients are sub-clinically low thyroid. This means that blood tests have shown that everything is normal but they are in fact feeling extremely tired with weight gain, dry skin and falling hair.
Once this has been identified we use herbs and nutritional supplements to bring the body back into balance which can generally take from 6 weeks to 6 months. We also find that clients can have sub-clinical blood sugar imbalances, making them tired and irritable and even an imbalance in the adrenal hormones which can mean they no longer cope with stress and can regularly come down with illness.

From March 2011 due to new legislation, we are not allowed to make claims for treatments that has not been scientifically proven. Most complementary therapies cannot be proven despite having been found to be very effective. All the information you find on our website has not been qualified by Scientific Research and any treatment you undertake will be at your discretion. We believe in our treatments and we have an impressive number of clients who believe in them too.
