Suzanna J Blach, BSc (Hons), MBAcC, LicAc of Acuforhealth is an experienced and qualified Acupuncturist specialising in Fertility and Women's health.
She is highly qualified in pain management, musculoskeletal problems, thyroid conditions, mental and emotional problems and digestive disorders.
Suzanna received her Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Bodywork qualification through a British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) accredited University in the UK. Suzanna is a fully licensed member of the BAcC and has completed thorough training of three years in traditional acupuncture and biomedical sciences. The BAcC was formed in 1995 and with nearly 3000 members, it is the largest body of professional acupuncturists in the UK.
Suzanna became interested in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) whilst working in broadcasting in London during her 20s. During this time, she became passionate about TCM as it became clear to her that so many people suffered some sort of ill health or imbalance which affected them physically and mentally, often forcing them to turn to prescription medication. She began to seek alternatives to modern drugs, which cause severe side effects, and discovered acupuncture with its ability to heal and rebalance the body naturally.
As well as acupuncture, Suzanna believes nutrition, natural supplements, diet and lifestyle are all essential in the path to recovery, rebalance and rebirth. Treatments are tailored to each individual and usually consist of a combination of acupuncture, cupping and moxibustion depending on the condition. Suzanna also works closely with practitioners at Natural Practices to bring people to optimum health and is happy to work with conventional doctors and consultants, referring when necessary.
Suzanna has great experience in helping couples with long-term fertility problems and those going through IVF. She also specialises in managing women's health problems such as PCOS, endometriosis, irregular periods and other menstrual problems as well as unexplained infertility. Acupuncture has been proven to help with fertility problems from regulating ovulation and hormone levels to improving low sperm count and quality.
Using a combination of classic Traditional Chinese Acupuncture as well as techniques based on current scientific research, Suzanna has successfully helped many couples with a variety of fertility issues. Suzanna frequently works with couples using assisted conception techniques such as IVF (ICSI, IUI), providing a comprehensive package which includes full support, relaxation techniques, information and advice in the run-up to IVF treatment.
Suzanna is fully trained in treating women during all three trimesters of pregnancy and has successfully treated threatened miscarriage, morning sickness and uses classic TCM Acupuncture techniques to help induce labour naturally, as well as 'turning' breech presentation.
Suzanna has established close links with local doctors and midwives and works with Dr L. Nardo, Consultant Gynaecologist and Reproductive Medicine specialist at SMS Clinic in Cheshire. She is also an integral part of the specialist Fertility Clinic team at Natural Practices and works closely with other practitioners in bringing couples to optimum fertility.
