Polycystic Ovaries PCOS

Polycystic Ovaries (PCOS)

Polycystic ovaries (PCOS) occur when the ovaries develop multiple cysts. Tendency may be inherited and triggered by hormonal change at puberty. It can cause infertility. Signs include overweight / obesity, increased facial / body hair, male pattern baldness, acne, oily skin, heavy / irregular periods, failure to ovulate and menstrual abnormalities. It is essential that hormones be rebalanced.

A Naturopathic view of PCOS is that cysts are created when the body is trying to 'package' toxins together to protect the rest of the body. We suggest a Hormone/Vitamin & Mineral test test to check for hormonal imbalances.

We can tailor a programme which includes cleansing and supporting the liver. Hormones are balanced using individually prepared herbal remedies.
