What is PCOS? The Facts

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a medical condition linked to hormonal imbalances, insulin resistance and a slow metabolism. It affects up to one in four women of childbearing age and the symptoms can vary to a lesser or greater degree with each PCOS sufferer.

If PCOS is not corrected with a healthy diet and lifestyle changes, more serious health problems can result. These can be diabetes, strokes, heart conditions and high blood pressure.

There are certain foods which PCOS sufferers should be avoiding. Because all PCOS sufferers have a varying metabolism, the foods differ between each sufferer.
