Migraine
Migraine is an condition caused by the expansion or contraction of blood vessels in the brain. It is not simply a headache. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, auras, visual disturbance, sensitivity to light, sound and odours, numbness, difficulty speaking, fatigue and severe, debilitating, one sided head pain. It is often associated with high oestrogen levels. Avoid known triggers.
A Vitamin and Mineral check using the''Health Detective'' Screening System which will identify if there are nutritional deficiencies affecting the flow of blood to the tissues such as calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium which are all needed at a cellular level. 113 foods are checked to ensure there are no sensitivities, it is not always the known triggers of Cheese, Chocolate, Oranges and Wine.
Hormones are checked to ensure they are balanced. This is a sensitive test which can identify sub-clinical changes in the hormones. The body is very sensitive to changes in the hormones, even if they are slight - they can be too slight for traditional blood tests.
From the information acquired during the Screening, a Programme will be tailored which may include a short detoxification period (usually of the bowel and liver with migraine), fresh juices, herbal and nutritional remedies.
We also suggest that you see our 'Chiropractor' or our 'Cranial Osteopath' to ensure that the spine is correctly aligned and not compressing on vessels or nerves. Cranial Osteopathy gently moves the plates of the skull to relieve pressure.
Please telephone or email and ask to book an appointment for a 'Food / Hormones / Vitamin and Mineral Test'. This test takes about an hour.
