Colonic Hydrotherapy is one treatment where people who have weak rectal muscles may feel embarrassed. When the rectal muscle can't hold the speculum snugly, leakage of water and bowel waste can occur. At Natural Practices we are aware of these effects and adapt our treatment accordingly.
Although the colon is designed to eliminate waste from the body, a combination of poor diet, improper food combining and prescription drugs may impair its ability to function correctly. The Colonic treatment exercises and tones the bowel aiding the evacuation of waste both during and after treatment, thereby reducing the toxic overload responsible for many body imbalances.
Herbs may be used within the Colonic session as they can have either a tightening effect on the bowel, which is good for constipation, or a relaxing effect which can help with diarrhoea if the bowel is in spasm.
