Asthma is divided in to two categories:

Extrinsic or atopic: generally considered an allergy related condition with a characteristic increase in immune cells in blood (1gE)

Intrinsic: associated with bronchial reaction due to chemicals, cold air, exercise, infection and emotional upset

Major causes of Asthma
